Toyota Fortuner 2012 facelift

The Toyota Fortuner, soulmate of the Toyota Hilux pickup on which it is based, has just received a facelift for 2012. It has already been revealed in Thailand, where it is built.

First introduced in 2005, the 2012 Toyota Fortuner receives a new frontal treatment similar to that of the 2012 Toyota Hilux. That includes new headlights, bumper and grille, along with different tail lamps, rear bumper and wheels. That’s about it for the “new” model, as the engines remain the same. Expect the facelifted Fortuner to reach dealerships in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries by the end of summer.

The basic level two-wheel-drive 4-cylinder Base version fitted having a six-speed automatic gearbox starts at 28,090 USD, while the Limited V6 variant which comes with afive-speed automatic costs 37,045 USD. The hybrid versions of the Toyota Highlander models mentioned previously start at 38,140 USD and 43,795 USD respectively.
These prices do not include the 810 USD fee in delivery and handling.

Toyota RAV4

Toyota has Released Toyota RAV4 and Toyota RAV4 will be working by Tesla’s help, the Electric Vehicle will build at Toyota’s plant in Woodstock, Ontario. “The Tesla-Toyota joint development team has agreed that building the vehicle in the Woodstock plant on the same line as the gasoline-powered RAV4, will streamline and simplify the development process and guarantee the highest level of quality control,” said Ray Tanguay.Tesla supply full electric powertrain to Toyota RAV4, includes battery, motor, gearbox and all sorts of associated electronics. The lithium-ion battery power powered RAV4 EV is capable of traveling close to 100 miles on one charge. Toyota asserted the RAV4 EV will be sold through its U.S. dealerships with info on the precise launch date and pricing to be announced at “a later time”.
